I'm thinking of making a series of children's books where animals and fantastical creatures are roommates.
This is my rough draft for the first one with some potential dragon styles.
My roommate is a dragon

In a high up apartment, at Number Forty-Four,
Lived Tim with his roommate, who none could ignore.
For Tim's roommate was Fizzle, a dragon so bright,
With scales of all colors that shimmered in light.
Tim liked things just so, perfectly tidy and neat,
While Fizzle preferred to dance to his own beat.
"It's time to clean up," Tim would say but not scold,
And Fizzle would say, "just finishing this episode."
One day Tim declared, "We must sort out this mess!
Our home's topsy-turvy, it's causing me stress."
Fizzle nodded and smiled, then let out a sneeze,
As puffs of smoke rose, he said “This’ll be a breeze.”
"First, we'll take out the trash and clean all the floors,
There’s work to be done” Tim said by the door.
Fizzle sang and he danced while he swept all around,
“And work can be fun!” Fizzle shouted unbound.
Next came the dishes, like a mountain so high,
Tim washed and Fizzle dried breathing fire, oh my!
"That's not how I’d do it," Tim said with a sigh,
But he had to admit, the plates were now dry.
Grocery shopping was next on Tim's list to do,
Fizzle flew them to the store— quite a hullabaloo!
"No dragons allowed!" the manager crowed,
But Fizzle drew a crowd that cheered at the show.
Fizzle picked fruits with his tail, what a sight,
And juggled the eggs—to Tim's nervous fright!
“He’s with me,” Tim said, “and he is the best.”
The manager softened, “Okay… but no mess!”
Back at the flat, Tim relaxed in his chair,
"Oh Fizzle," he said, "sometimes you give me a scare.
But I must admit, you make life fun and bright,
Perhaps there's a balance, and you might be right."
Fizzle grinned wide and gave Tim a big hug,
His scales tickled Tim, who giggled and shrugged.
"And you, my dear Tim, bring me order and care,
Together we're perfect, we make quite the pair!"
That night they had friends over, a party so grand,
Fizzle lit up the room, just as Tim planned.
They danced and they laughed, till the moon was up high,
A relaxed bit of fun, neither one could deny.
Tim smiled at the dragon, "Together we've grown,
A balance we've found, the best I have known."
"Yes," Fizzle agreed, with a flick of his tail,
"With joy and hard work, we'll always prevail!"
So Tim and dear Fizzle, in their flat up so high,
Found harmony living, as the days flickered by.
Each teaching the other, in their own special way,
How to make the most of every single day.
